Here is a short video talking about ocean acidification and its impacts on sea lives and different depth of sea water.
The ocean absorbs almost a third of the carbon dioxide which released into the atmosphere every year, then carbon dioxide reacts with sea water to form carbonic acid. As a result, the acidity of sea water increases. Even a small change of seawater pH value may cause significant impacts on marine species. Consequently the food web is affected indirectly. Moreover, ocean acidification is impacting shallower area much more than deep area.
